Our Marans are one the friendliest and I believe the most personable breeds we keep. They love to be outdoors roaming around and foraging.
We are lucky enough to have both a wooded area and plenty of grass which our flock spends most of their days searching for bugs and scratching through. 
Our marans hens are always the first to come running when they see us, they get very excited for treats we feed Black Soldier Fly Larvae (the kids love the interaction) and our marans hens are always first at the bag and first at your hand.
